Members of Syracuse Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., proudly hosted a Voter Registration Booth, helping parents and guardians get registered, updated, and prepared to vote at the 2nd Annual Back to School Glow Up, organized by our very own SAC member Allia Abughoush.

The purpose of this event was to serve children and families experiencing poverty, homelessness, and other barriers by helping them prepare for the upcoming school year with confidence. Students received school supplies, and volunteer barbers and stylists provided free haircuts, quick braids, and loc retwists so they can start the year feeling their best.

Happy !

Freedom may be delayed, but it will never be denied.

Today, the Syracuse Alumnae Chapter marched 1.5 miles from the historic Dunbar Center to Downtown Syracuse in honor of Juneteenth.

Though our fight for freedom sadly continues, today we paused to celebrate and embrace the joy of our ancestors who believed in the possibilities of a more promising tomorrow.

We walked, strolled, and lifted our voices in unity, anchoring the day in service at our Voter Registration Booth in the heart Syracuse’s Juneteenth celebration.
