Former BBC journalist and current EMIR student Ananya Das discussed "Declining Media Freedoms in India Since 2014" during Peer to Peer. She noted the lessening of India's media freedom, with rising violence against journalists, corporatization of media and proliferation of misinformation and disinformation on social media since 2014.
Ananya spent six years as a BBC journalist in broadcasting and media monitoring.
