Partnered with Syracuse University, the Taishoff Center offers support, research, training, and resources to individuals, families, and college campus communities look

ing for strategies to foster and support college students with disabilities. The Center also provides information about parents’ rights in higher education, universal design for courses, accommodations for specific types of disabilities, and other disability-related resources. The Taishoff Center is home to the InclusiveU initiative, which offers a comprehensive college experience for students with intellectual disabilities including individualized coursework, person-centered planning, professional internships, and social and extracurricular activities.

Cassia Soodak, former InclusiveU peer mentor and event planner, has been awarded one of the Spring 2026 Intelligence++ Venture Grants through Syracuse University’s Intelligence++ initiative.

Soodak’s company, Ms. Spellled, aims to create neurodivergent-friendly club clothing and ravewear for neurodivergent individuals through a cooperative relationship between supportive sensory-regulatory materials and expressive style.

Intelligence ++ is a funding program that supports student innovators in developing ventures aimed at improving inclusion and accessibility for disabled and neurodivergent groups.

Join us THIS TUESDAY for a free IPSE Association webinar “You’re In! Now What?” on June 9 from 5:30–7:00 pm (ET) on Zoom.

This session is open to everyone and will be especially helpful for students who have recently been accepted into an IPSE program, along with their families and networks of support.

Program staff from UMSL and Syracuse University will share practical tips and tools to help students prepare during the summer before college. You’ll hear about organization strategies, meal planning, getting involved on campus, and how to use available supports.

You’ll also hear from:
➡️Current college students sharing what works for them
➡️ Parents and program staff offering strategies to use before college begins
➡️ Alumni reflecting on what they wish they had known before starting college
