I’m looking for people to participate in a huge book exchange. All you have to do is buy your favorite book (just one) and send it to a stranger. (I’ll send their details in a private message.)

You’ll receive a maximum of 36 books back to you, to keep. They’ll be favorite books from strangers all over!

Aloha,

Our third annual lūʻau is approaching very quickly, as it is on April 6th, 2019 in Olson Auditorium from 4:45 - 9 PM. The theme for this year's lūʻau is, E Lohe I Nā Moʻolelo I Haʻiʻole ʻIa O Ka Pākīpika, in translation it means "Hear the Untold Stories of the Pacific". The reason why we chose this theme is because our goal is to continue spreading the culture and stories that we grew up from and to continue educating others of each of our students' individual backgrounds, in hopes to promote a more diverse and inclusive environment towards the PLU community. Please come and join us for a night of fun as we explore the Hawaiian and Pacific Islander culture.

For those who came in attendance last year, and those who have already purchased lūʻau tickets, we thank you for your support! To show our appreciation for the PLU community, we’re having a FLASH SALE starting at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 3rd until 11:59 PM on Friday, April 5th. All PLU student tickets (with a valid PLU ID) will be $15, General Admission tickets will be $25, and children between the ages of 4-12 will be $20. After midnight on Friday, all tickets will go back to original prices, which are: General Admission $30, PLU students $20, and Children ages 4-12 $25. We hope that through this event, we will open the minds and hearts of many through our music, dance, and food to share each of our stories.

Today is the SPRING INVOLVEMENT FAIR!!!!!! Come check out club and organizations around the Upper AUC. There is also a club crawl activity with prizes for the first three winners. So, come to Upper AUC from 4-6pm to walk through the Spring Involvement Fair.

The PLU Muslim Student Association will be hosting a day of fast. A Day of Fast is a day where members of the community will be invited to observe sawm (fasting) for one day to raise awareness of Muslim observances on campus. The MSA is hosting this event to also raise money for charity by asking people to donate money that they would have spent on meals for the day. They ask everyone to join them to fast from sunrise to sunset. Then, in the evening, everyone will be invited to break their fast over a meal together that will be provided. We hope to encourage open-dialogue and have a space for individuals to share their experiences of fasting for the day.

If you are a current club on campus and would like to continue as one next year, please be sure to register here: https://forms.plu.edu/2202! The deadline to re-register is set for May 18th! Any club not registered by that date will have to go through the starting a club process next year.
