Congratulations David Hopkins, for securing ASUWT funding for the RILEM 2026 Spring Convention! 🎉

An event focused on Innovative Construction Materials and Processes for Sustainable Buildings and Infrastructure, David will be presenting their undergraduate research project on pervious concrete.

"I am super honored and excited to have been awarded money from the Conference Training Fund of the ASUWT and the UW Office of Research for the RILEM 2026 Spring conference. My travels to Belgium have been generously covered via these awarded amounts - I literally can not say thank you enough, it is so impactful and important to me to have this support. I will be presenting my undergraduate research paper, which details the procedures and findings from the continuation of Dr. Nara Almeida's research on Pervious Concrete using Zeolite as a Supplementary Cementitious Material (SCM). Dr. Almeida is the co-author to the paper and was/is instrumental support in reaching this goal. RILEM will be publishing the paper in their April 2026 Conference releases."
