We're 60 days away from when our scholarship window opens, Nov. 1. Cherokee Nation Foundation offers supplemental, competitive scholarships in partnership with Cherokee Nation Education Services.

Parents of Cherokee students approaching or already enrolled in higher education should have both at the top of their list. The window opens in November and closes Jan. 31 with awards announced in the Spring.

LAHOMA (HICKS) SCHULTZ NATIVE AMERICAN IN PSYCHOLOGY SCHOLARSHIP

NSU Scholarship Deadline: September 7, 2026

Qualified applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria:

- Full-time (Undergraduate: 12 hours per semester, Graduate: 9 hours per semester)
- Undergraduate and graduate students
- Declared major in Psychology and completed a minimum of 90 credit hours OR pursuing a Master's degree in Counseling.
- Be a member of a federally-recognized tribe as demonstrated by a tribal membership card. Preference will be given to students who are at least 1/16 Native American, as demonstrated by a Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB) card.
- GPA: 3.0
