Washington Adventist University sponsors eight men's and women's sports teams that compete as members of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Men's intercollegiate teams include basketball, cross country, and soccer. Women's intercollegiate teams include basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, and volleyball. In addition, an Acro-Airs team is sponsored but does not compete within the NAIA

On Friday WAU Cross Country completed their first meet of the season at Mt. St. Maryโ€™s. The womenโ€™s squad was led by Jordyn Schaeffer who completed the 5K in 31:00.9 min. The menโ€™s squad was led by Ian Sanchez ian who completed the 5K in 21:47.3 minutes.

We had a great day covering WAU Cross Country at their first meet of the season! We have a lot of new runners this year that gave everything they had today! Thanks to WAU Honors College Jonathan Scriven for coming out and supporting the team today!
