✨ Congratulations to our 2026 OLLI at FSU Scholarship recipients!

This spring, we were proud to recognize our scholarship recipients during the OLLI at FSU Spring Business Meeting & Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. Please join us in celebrating:

🎓 Carly Lewis — First-year medical student
🎓 Alexandra Negrin-Perea — Army veteran and doctoral student in FSU’s Combined Counseling and School Psychology program
🎓 Chalice Daniel — 1st year grad student, pursuing a Master of Public Health degree concentration in policy, specializing in Epidemology.
🎓 Xueqi Cheng — Ph.D. student in Computer Science (photo not shared at student’s request)

These students represent the future of aging studies, advocacy, research, healthcare, and community leadership. Their passion for addressing both the problems and joys of aging in America reflects the mission and values of OLLI at FSU.

Three of our OLLI at FSU volunteers each gave more than 300 volunteer hours this past year!

We’re trying something new… so why don’t you too?

Our Gentle Chair Yoga course is a six-week series with one-hour classes designed to help you move and feel better at your own pace. Join the first three weeks, the second three weeks, or all six. If you start with the first half, you’re welcome to continue if space allows.

It’s an easy, low-pressure way to try something new—and if you haven’t experienced the joy of gentle yoga yet, you’re in for a treat.

Please join us in celebrating our OLLI at FSU Volunteer of the Year, Marsha VandenDooren!

Marsha contributed nearly 160 volunteer hours this past year, showing an outstanding commitment to our community. In addition to her time and dedication, she also founded and chairs one of OLLI’s newest and most welcoming groups, MINGLE!

M.I.N.G.L.E. with OLLI brings together new and longtime friends at local spots with outdoor patios. Instead of a formal meal, the focus is on connecting, chatting, and enjoying a beverage together in a relaxed setting. It is a wonderful way to build community and make new friends.

All OLLI members and friends are welcome. The group meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
