Our first staff spotlight is Jen Altrogge. We asked Jen a few questions so you can get to know her a little better. ⤵️

- What’s your role, and how long have you worked here?
"I am the Executive Assistant to the Associate Deans and the Office Administrator at the College of Social Work. I've been in this position for a year and previously worked at the Florida Center for Reading Research at FSU."

- What do you love about working at FSU College of Social Work?
"I love the people I get to work with! They make coming into the office a joy. Additionally, I love working in administration in higher education at the College of Social Work. A combination of the things I'm passionate about and love."

- What’s something in your office that tells a story about you?
"My youngest daughter painted this watercolor for me with the following quote on the back, 'The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.'"

- What’s a hobby or activity you enjoy outside of work?
"I love the beach and the mountains and am likely to be reading and drinking a cup of coffee at either spot. I'm currently reading 'The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny' by Kiran Desai."

Alumna Sunshine Arnold (BS '02, MSW' 10) brings over two decades of experience to her role as the first licensed clinical social worker to serve on the Citrus County Fire Rescue Community Paramedicine program team.

Working alongside paramedics, Sunshine provides community-based support, including substance use support, to help residents take steps toward long-term recovery. https://bit.ly/4ed7tH3
