Delta Zeta at Florida State University

Delta Zeta at Florida State University "Individually unique. Together complete." In 1902, six young women at the University of Miami in Oxford, Ohio, joined together to create the Delta Zeta sorority.

The purpose of this sorority was to surround themselves with like-minded and driven individuals, who could enhance and provide guidance to the human experience. This purpose still holds true today. Delta Zeta's are courageous, bold, daring, loving, generous, empowered women who strive to uplift themselves and one another. Delta Zeta's are united in bonds of sincere and and lasting friendship and s

timulate one another in the pursuit of knowledge. Delta Zeta is so much more than a sorority. It's a home; a place filled with laughter, and light, and love that's unconditional and ever steadfast.

Tomorrow night at Potbelly’s we will be hosting our second philanthropy event of the semester, Statez Got Talent, a talent show featuring acts from all around Tallahassee! The contestant who wins will receive a $200 gift card to a local restaurant, Madison Social. Being able to hear the people and world around us is as essential to the human experience as breathing. The privilege it is to hear continues to inspire the Alpha Sigma chapter of Delta Zeta at Florida State University to support our partners Starkey Hearing Foundation, American Society for Deaf Children, SeriousFun Children's Network, and FSU Speech and Hearing Clinic this fall.
Our first event is DZ on the Block right at our home, 749 West Jefferson Street, on October 5th from 5 to 8 pm. It is an annual event featuring delicious food trucks of Tallahassee as well as local businesses in our front yard. A ticket is $7 and grants access to sample all of the different trucks! Our second event is Statez got Talent at Potbellys on October 11th from 6 to 9 pm. This event is new to our chapter and we are really looking forward to it. There will be a talent show and performances by different organizations on campus for a night of Florida State showcasing their skills. The prize for the winning contestant will be a $200 Madison Social gift card!! Tickets for this event are $7 for audience members and $15 to enter the talent show as a contestant. We can't wait to share our love for Starkey Hearing foundation, ASDC, and the FSU Speech and Hearing clinic with you all this fall.
