! Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our School of Theatre Community!

Makaira Fisk (BA Theatre 2023) is making her national tour debut in the “Waitress” 10th Anniversary tour. She will be in the ensemble and understudying the roles of Jenna and Dawn. The tour begins September 18th in Owensboro, KY, and traverses the country until June 2027.

Monika Gossmann (Assistant Professor) won the CRC Arts & Humanities Program Enhancement Grant (AHPEG) for $20,000 to continue her work on “STRIPPED,” her feature film, which she has written, directed, and starred in. “The project is deeply embedded within Florida State University’s creative research ecosystem, integrating faculty, students, and alumni across the School of Theatre, College of Motion Picture Arts, and the Sport Psychology Program,” said Gossman.

Shanna Brajevic (BFA Music Theatre 2023) performed in the Regional Premiere of “The Cher Show” at Moonlight Productions in Vista, CA. She portrayed a Studio Singer, Ensemble, and understudied the role of Babe.

Collins Cudjoe (MFA Theatre Management 2026) was named Director of Arts Marketing and Community Engagement at Mercer University and was recently selected for the National Council of Arts Administrators (NCAA) Emerging Leaders Cohort, a program recognizing promising emerging leaders across the arts and higher education field. Chosen from a competitive pool of applicants, he will join the cohort at the 2026 NCAA Conference for mentorship, networking, and leadership development alongside seasoned arts administrators from across the country.

! Join us in celebrating the accomplishments of our School of Theatre Community!

Megan Mellino (School of Theatre Office Administrator) won a College of Fine Arts Staff Excellence Award. This was the inaugural year of the awards. The winners were selected by a panel of their peers from a pool of nominations submitted by College of Fine Arts faculty and staff.

Andrew Phillips (Current MFA Theatre Management) worked as the Manager for Activities & Shows at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM this summer. In this role, he oversaw theatrical productions that were seen by over 16,000 Scouts. Philmont Scout Ranch is Scouting America’s premier training and High Adventure destination, challenging youth, adults, and families.

Matt Schmidli, (Co-Director of the BFA Acting Program) began producing and directing a narrative short film called “Arizona,” a modern western with principal photography this summer.

Anna Collins (Current BA Theatre Student) was a 2026 Summer Intern at the Muny serving as a stage management assistant. They joined students representing 25 universities and 12 states. The competitive Muny internship program has students help create seven full-scale world-class musical theatre productions in 10 weeks that are attended by over 300,000 patrons.
