FSU Life Science Faculty Commercialization Roundtable

FSU Life Science Faculty Commercialization Roundtable Brought to you by OIPDC. The members of the Roundtable include faculty and some postdocs & Ph.D.

The Life Sciences Faculty Commercialization Roundtable (LSFCR) was created and sponsored by the FSU Office of IP Development and Commercialization in 2011. The purpose of the LSFCR is to bring interdisciplinary faculty together to learn about the diagnostic, therapeutic and research needs being scouted by life science companies including Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Drug Discovery, Research and

other companies offering life science products. The Office or Research launched the Faculty Commercialization Roundtable in February, 2011 to draw faculty together from the Life Science disciplines to further interdisciplinary translational research. students from Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Chemical & Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry and Physics. Speakers include industry experts, corporate scouts and others to address particular topics of interest. The ultimate goal is to identify needs and then take potential research from the lab and try to translate it into actual diagnostics, therapeutics and scientific research tools such as antibodies that will provide solutions to real world needs.
