On Wednesday evening, we had the extreme joy of gathering to celebrate the publication of Volume 50 of the Florida State University Law Review! We had the pleasure of being joined by many faculty members and deans, as well as our phenomenal guest speaker, Mr. Josh Doyle, Executive Director of the Florida Bar.
Thank you to all of our members for the hard work you’ve put in this year—none of this would have been possible without a strong team effort!
At the banquet, we were honored to recognize some of our members and FSU Law faculty with awards: Professor Wayne Logan (Dedicated Advisor Award); Angelique Howard (Candidate’s Award); Austin Weinkauf and Savannah Criado (Editor’s Award); Brittany Smith and Daley Pajcic (Polston Award); and Marissa Truskowski (Steven G*y Note Award). Congratulations to all of you—these accomplishments are well deserved.
To our graduating 3Ls, congratulations and good luck! We know you will all do amazing things, and we hope you will come back to visit from time to time.
A special thank you to the Volume 50 Board—the people who kept everything on track and well-managed. Without you, there would be no journal to print.
To the incoming Volume 51 Board, we hope that we have left things just a little better than we found them, and we hope that you will do the same for those who come after you. You’ve got this! (And we are, of course, here for those moments when you feel like you don’t.)
And finally, to our fearless leader, Editor-in-Chief Becky Maturo—without you, there would be no direction, no drive, and no clear goal. You managed every aspect of the journal with calm and grace, and we are all so grateful for your leadership. Thank you!
