FSU Childcare & Early Learning Program FSU Childcare & Early Learning Programs provides care and educational experiences in two centers for children, ages six weeks to five years of age.

Our Mission: To provide a high-quality care and educational environment for young children that promotes lifelong learning and supports the academic and professional success of students, faculty, and staff. Both centers are licensed through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). These high qualit

y early learning environments also provide sites for research by faculty members and graduate students in a variety of academic areas as well as a participatory setting in which students may observe and work with young children.

☀️🌈 **Hello, June!** 🌈☀️

Summer is officially here at the **FSU Childcare & Early Learning Program**, and we’re ready for a month full of sunshine, discovery, and fun!

This month, our classrooms will be buzzing with hands-on learning as children explore themes like **space, transporation, and pond life**. From sensory activities to outdoor exploration, we’re making the most of these warm, sunny days while continuing to support each child’s growth and curiosity. 🌿💧🌞

We’re also excited to continue building strong connections with our families—please, mark your calendars for June 10th from 3:30 to 5:30 pm for the Mama P's fundraising event here at the Childcare Center. You are welcome to invite family, co-workers, and friends to support special engagement activities like field trips when you participate in our fundraisers.

Thank you for being such an important part of our community. We hope your June is filled with joy, laughter, and plenty of time to make special memories together! 💛

As Teacher Appreciation Week Comes to a Close

As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, we want to take a moment to truly honor the people at the heart of our work—our student teachers and faculty. The care you give, the patience you show, and the way you lift children up on their hardest days and celebrate them on their brightest ones… it all matters more than words can express. You shape childhood in ways that last.

We also want to recognize the faculty who guide not only our children, but also the future teachers who will carry this work forward. Your mentorship, your long hours, and your willingness to pour into others—often behind the scenes—strengthen our entire community. The impact of your work reaches far beyond a single classroom or a single year.

And to our student teachers, we offer our heartfelt appreciation. You bring fresh perspectives, new ideas, and a sense of energy that reminds us why this work matters. Your curiosity, your willingness to learn, and the joy you bring into our classrooms enrich our entire community.

We also want to extend our gratitude to our administrative and support staff—the people who keep our days running smoothly, who solve problems before anyone else even notices them, and who hold together the countless details that make our work possible. Your steadiness, your care, and your commitment create the foundation our teachers and families rely on every single day.

To our families, we extend our sincere thanks. Your trust, your support, and your partnership make all of this possible. The way you show up for your children—and for our staff—creates a community where everyone feels held. We don’t take that for granted.

And while this week has given us a special moment to shine a light on our gratitude, our appreciation doesn’t begin or end here. It is something we carry with us every day of the year, because your impact is felt every day of the year.

Their delicious drinks were the perfect pick-me-up and a wonderful way to show our appreciation for the dedication, care, and love our teachers pour into each day. From warm smiles to energizing sips, it was a treat everyone enjoyed!

Our Tweener friends have been busy learning, exploring, and growing together! From hands-on play to exciting discoveries, each day is filled with moments that spark curiosity and creativity.

This week, our little learners enjoyed a special trip to the fountain, where they had so much fun exploring the outdoors, observing their surroundings, and sharing laughs with friends. 💦🌿
