Florida Alpha is proud to be recognized at the FSU Pursuit of Excellence Awards with:

• 2025 FSU Chapter of the Year
• Commitment to Community Service Award
• Chapter Advisor of the Year (in honor of the late Dr. Randall Benner)

Being named Chapter of the Year for the first time in our chapter’s history is an incredible milestone and a huge honor for Florida Alpha. It is a reflection of the culture, leadership, and standards we strive to uphold every day. Special thanks to former President Christian Kuhn, former Vice President Bobby Bowden, and last year’s Executive Board, their hard work and dedication laid the foundation for this achievement. We were especially honored to be joined at the ceremony by Dr. Benner’s wife, children, and grandchildren as we celebrated his lasting impact on Florida Alpha. Thank you to and for the honor and for continuing to elevate our community, and a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Randall Benner, our chapter advisor, whose guidance continues to shape who we are today. He is deeply missed.

Several of our brothers participated in the Big Event this weekend, patterning with to clean up a local HOA’s yard debris.

We are thankful to setting up this wonderful event and had fun finding the great joy in serving others.

On February 19, 1852, Phi Kappa Psi was founded. It began a legacy of scholarship, leadership, and men committed to honor and character.

This last weekend, almost 174 years later, Florida Alpha had the privilege of gathering with our alumni in celebration of Founders’ Day. It was a very meaningful opportunity to reflect on our chapter’s progress, reconnect across generations, and share our vision for the future.

We’re proud of the legacy we carry and excited for what’s ahead. Here’s to the next one.

As one of the two IFC fraternities to ever receive this recognition, it reflects and furthers our continued commitment to leadership, scholarship, brotherhood, and service. Brotherhood spotlight: We want to take this opportunity to spotlight Brother Vincent Nucatola, who was sworn in as an appointed Student Senator earlier this month, and last night was elected to a full term representing the College of Business at the FSU Student Senate! Vince serves on the Senate’s Finance committee and focuses on ensuring SGA is funding student organizations in a responsible way.

We are incredibly proud of our brother and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes!
