The campaign was brought to fruition by the class of 2015 on the premise of two ideas every FAMU graduate having a reason to give because of what FAMU has afforded them, and to bridge the gap in alumni giving. Currently we have an alumni base of 64,944 strong but only 8% give back. As current graduating seniors we are very much aware of the hardships our university faces, and rea

lize without this institution we wouldn’t be where we are today. With your help the campaign will set the foundation for classes to come, and will become an annual reoccurring campaign. We encourage not only our fellow classmates but every member of our FAMULY to support FAMU by making a donation today. With our motto in mind we will start to bridge the gap in alumni giving, highlight the importance of every gift no matter the size, and sustain the future of Florida A&M University.

All graduates that give to this campaign beginning with the Summer Class of 2015 will receive medallions to wear apart of their graduation regalia & will be recognized during commencement exercises.

We encourage EVERY FAMUAN to support this initiative and donate to ensure the sustainability of our illustrious university.

Giving back isn't just in some of us, it's in all of us. As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. I can think of over 1887 Reasons to Give back to FAMU...Can you?

How Do I Give?

Step 1.

DONATE $18.87 or your choice of donation to the University using the online form located at the link above; you may designate your donation to any of the options listed on the form--scholarships, athletics, research, music, school, colleges etc. For the drop-down box that asks "What brought you to our donation page today?," please select "1887Reasons2Give."

If you prefer to mail your donation, make your check payable to the FAMU Foundation and put "1887Reasons2Give" in the memo. Mail to the following address:
