Tallahassee Community College Fall 2022 Eagle Award was presented to Brantley! Congratulations and thank you for the ways you positively impact the campus and community!
Congratulations to Brantley Goodson who was recently honored with an Eagle Award!
The person who nominated him said, "Brantley Goodson is an Eagle Connections student in the last year of the program. Over the past three years, Brantley has grown in independence, leadership, and confidence towards being an outstanding student and creating a positive and inclusive culture on campus. One of his current instructors, Dr. Beth Huettel, commented “Brantley is one of my best students. He always gets his assignments done as soon as they are posted, he emails me when he has questions, and he is a pleasure to have in class. The class is enriched by his willingness to actively participate during class. I can’t speak highly enough of Brantley. He is diligent, eager to learn, and always gets his work done ahead of time. He was also one of the few who would ask and answer questions in class.” Another way Brantley is a role model student is by offering encouragement and help to other students with their homework or internship timesheets. He also demonstrates leadership by organizing and planning social activities on campus for other Eagle Connections students like trips to the Relaxation Room or card games. In addition, he was a panelist on the Student Accessibility Services POP Panel to voice ways the College supports and could better support students with disabilities. He continues to advocate for accessibility and inclusion on campus, especially for the students who will attend TCC next year when he has already graduated. In small but consistent and meaningful ways, Brantley motivates prospective students, current students, classmates, faculty, and staff towards inclusion and a better place for everyone. This nomination is submitted on behalf of the entire Eagle Connections team to recognize this exceptional student."
