We are so proud of our students who attended the American Heart Association Heart Walk at Cascade Park last week! Alongside Leon County EMS, they had the chance to demonstrate CPR to the community, putting their skills to work outside the classroom and making a real difference.

This is exactly the kind of hands-on, community-focused experience that sets FSU nursing students apart. Congratulations to everyone who participated!

The Florida State University College of Nursing has launched its first micro-credential series that integrates artificial intelligence and nursing care.

The program, Nursing Essentials of Responsible AI, was developed in partnership with the for Health AI (CHAI) and provides nurses with a comprehensive framework for the ethical and effective use of artificial intelligence in clinical practice.

As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes healthcare delivery, there is an urgent need to prepare the nursing workforce to engage with these technologies safely and effectively.

Welcoming the next generation of nurse scientists and researchers ✨

Last week, 16 Ph.D. students from across the country β€” including as far away as Hawaii β€” joined the FSU College of Nursing for orientation and research-focused workshops designed to prepare them for success in academia, research and leadership.

Throughout the event, students connected with faculty mentors and major professors, explored the groundbreaking work happening across our research centers, and participated in sessions tailored to their stage in the program. Junior students received training in integrative literature reviews, while senior students prepared for upcoming candidacy examinations and presented research posters during the Sigma Theta Tau-sponsored symposium.

Students also had the opportunity to learn more about the innovative research taking place through the Center for Population Sciences and Health Equity and the Institute on Digital Health and Innovation.

We are excited to see how these future nurse scholars continue to boldly rise at the FSU College of Nursing. β€οΈπŸ’›
