CEHHS Tech Sandbox The Tech Sandbox is a dynamic learning environment located on the 3rd floor of the Stone Building (College of Education), next to the elevator in room 3201.

The purpose of the Tech Sandbox is to create a dynamic learning environment where College of Education students can learn and practice using various instructional technologies and tools and have a clear understanding of how they can be embedded into real-life teaching, learning, assessment, and research. This facility houses technologies that are currently in use or will be used in PreK-12, contin

uing and higher education, and other educational organizations, allowing our students to meet rigorous accreditation requirements, state standards, and accomplished practices and preparing our graduates for successful professional careers. The Tech Sandbox includes a workshop area and space for you to bring your own device. Currently, we feature technologies in the following categories:

-3D printing and design,
-robotics,
-coding applications,
-interactive display boards,
-virtual reality, and
-Microsoft Studio

National 3D Day is celebrated on the 3rd day of the 3rd week in March to recognize and appreciate the impact of 3D technology in various fields, including science, engineering, art, and everyday life.

This day highlights advancements in 3D printing, 3D modeling, and 3D design, which have revolutionized industries such as medicine, architecture, manufacturing, and education. From prosthetics and aerospace parts to creative arts and rapid prototyping, 3D innovation is shaping the future!

At FSU's Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Tech Sandbox, you can experience the magic of 3D creation firsthand with our 3D scanner, 3D printers, and 3D Doodler pens, allowing you to design and build a variety of models! As we go into Spring Break, take this day to carve out time to unplug, relax, and reflect on the semester so far. Spend some time outdoors or connect with others in the community. Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has significantly enhanced his performance by incorporating virtual reality (VR) technology into his daily training regimen. Daniels described how he immersed himself in VR simulations designed to replicate game scenarios, allowing him to practice reading defenses and executing plays in a controlled, virtual environment. Offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury likened that approach to a "flight simulator for quarterbacks," emphasizing its role in sharpening decision-making and reaction times. Daniels began utilizing this technology during his tenure at Louisiana State University, where it contributed to his development into a top-tier quarterback.
