The Rho Alpha Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity strives for academic excellence, diversity, and service to The Florida State University and Leon County communities. We are the largest and fastest growing multicultural fraternity in the nation. Our principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, Community Service, and Cultural Awareness drive us to better ourselves, maintain self-respect and encourage tolerance for the views of others.

Chartered the first multicultural fraternity here at Florida State University, the Ruthless Rho Alpha Chapter of Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc. Since then, we’ve grown into a powerful presence on campus, grounded in brotherhood, scholarship, community service, and cultural awareness. Over the years, we’ve built lasting relationships and made real contributions to the FSU community, from working alongside the Hispanic/Latin-X Student Association to collaborating with the Multicultural Greek Council and so many others.

As we celebrate 29 years of history and growth, we give thanks to the brothers who paved the way and look forward to continuing their legacy for years to come.

Hello everyone!
My name is Franco “Onyx” Cangahuala. I am #179 and THE anchor of the Sigma Alpha line of the Ruthless Rho Alpha chapter. Ship name: La Tempestad. My hometown is Miami, Florida and I am 100% Peruvian.

I am currently a second year and am pursuing a behavioral neuroscience major. I have a strong passion for psychology and the human brain, especially relating to sleep research.

Personally, I love hanging out with friends, eating food together, traveling, and creating memories. In my free time, I enjoy training jiu jitsu, working out, skateboarding, listening to music, and going to the cinema.

I joined Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Incorporated because I wanted to do more for community and for myself. I am so excited to meet everyone!

Fun Fact: I can hold a handstand for 15 seconds

I’m Axel Sanchez line name “ALMA” and I’m the Tre 3️⃣, The Heart 💜 of Sigma Alpha. I’m born and raised in Orlando Florida 🍊 but at heart I’m Mexican 🇲🇽. I’m part of the ship “La Tempestad” ⛈️.

I’m a Mechanical Engineering major ⚙️, with deep interest in Aerospace 🚀. I’m also a first year student and plan to graduate in spring 2029.

Some of my hobbies are prayer ✝️, playing Guitar 🎸 , Hiking 🥾, Fishing 🎣 , and Dancing 🕺🏻

I choose Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity Inc, because I wanted to be apart of something greater and to keep refining and sculpting myself into the best version I can be.

A fun fact about me is that I own Roosters 🐓 lol.

What’s good!
I am Juan Martinez, line name “Azrael” and also the deuce 🎲 with the most juice of Sigma Alpha. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela and lived in Venezuela for 8 years until moving to Aventura, FL (in Miami). I am part of the ship “La tempestad” meaning the storm.

I am a Computational Biology 🧫 major and minoring in Biochemistry. Therefore, I am planning to do Biotech or Bioinformatics. I am also a first-year but plan to graduate in Spring 2028.

My hobbies are dancing, running, recently reading, hanging out with friends. Some hobbies I want to do are play soccer ⚽️ again, pickleball, and start working again.

I joined Sigma Lambda Beta 🐎 because I want to meet more people, have a network, get more leadership experience, and become more of a confident person.

Fun Fact: I can name every single country in the world with its flag and capital 🗺️.

My career goal is to one day become a nurse practitioner or a travel nurse! My hobbies are: Traveling and playing sports. I chose Sigma Lambda Beta because I knew from the moment I met them I wanted to be apart of their family and they accepted me with open arms. A fun fact about me is that I used to play band in Middle School! 🎺🥁
