While the US is celebrating Veteran's Day and France and the UK Remembrance Day, St. Martinstag happens in Germany. Named by a military man (the Roman officer Martin, later extended to Martin Luther after the Reformation), it is originally a religious festival involving children's lantern processions and good food (goose roast and ye**ty bakesπŸ—πŸ₯¨).
