Wireless connectivity powers nearly every aspect of our daily lives, but as cyber threats evolve, so must our defenses. That’s why USF researchers are leading the charge to secure the next generation of wireless networks with quantum-resistant and AI-enabled security technology.
Thanks to a $1.2 million grant from the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), USF is collaborating with Purdue University and The University of Texas at Dallas to develop resilient, future-ready cellular networks. USF will receive $559,000 over three years to drive this groundbreaking research.
The project, “Quantum-Ready and AI-Enabled by Design: Resilient and Deployable Next-Gen Cellular Networks,” unites experts in cybersecurity, post-quantum cryptography, AI and wireless systems. USF’s Professor Rouzbeh Behnia (University of South Florida Muma College of Business) leads the project, with Professor Attila Yavuz (USF Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing) as co-investigator.
