Check out Nils' first publication about anguilliform locomotion across a natural range of swimming speeds. Here, we compared the swimming kinematics, hydrodynamics, and metabolic activity of juvenile coral catfish (Plotosus lineatus) across relative swimming speeds spanning two orders of magnitude to investigate the benefits of eel-like locomotion:

Yesterday during our jellyfish collection trip at Lido Key, we found this graceful swimmer, the Mottled Sea Hare. Sea hares are a marine slug that can grow to over a foot long and secrete purple ink when scared!
