The Florida Chi Alumni Association (Class of 1982 to 1991) is proud to announce the winners of our inaugural Florida Chi Academic Scholarship Program at UTampa. Each of these four (4) Florida Chi Chapter undergraduates of SAE achieved an incredible 4.0 GPA last term.

A big congratulations to the scholarship winners Thomas McGinley, Collin Smith, Owen Richmond, and Nicholas Savare.

Each of these gentlemen are a role model for both the chapter and the Greek System at UTampa for academics, public service, and both community and campus engagement. On behalf of the entire Florida Chi Alumni Association at UTampa, we could not be prouder of the chapter's accomplishments in the past 12 months.

The Florida Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon at the University of Tampa has won the 2025 National "Harry S. Bunting Outstanding Emerging Chapter of the Year" award.

Last night at the SAE National Convention in Atlanta, GA, the Florida Chi Chapter at UTampa was awarded this well deserved recognition. In the past 2024-2025 school year, the Florida Chi Chapter has been awarded their charter in record time, and in that term won 3 local, 2 regional, and 1 national award.

Congratulations to all the brothers of Florida Chi for an incredible finish to an outstanding year.

The University of Tampa baseball team has brought their 10th National Championship home to the trophy case at UTampa. This is the second consecutive Championship for the baseball team, and is the largest all-time number of championships in the history of NCAA II baseball.

The UTampa athletic history includes a total of 29 NCAA II titles since 1981. The Spartans have captured titles in men's baseball (ten), women's beach volleyball (five), women's indoor volleyball (four), men's soccer (three), women's lacrosse (two), men's golf (two), women's soccer (one), men's lacrosse (one), and men's swimming (one).

The University of Tampa Women's Lacrosse Team adds their Second National Championship to the UTampa trophy case. That also includes 5 Sunshine State Conference Championships, 4 SSC Tournament Championships and 14 All-Americans for the Lady Spartans! Way to go coach! Great job team! This is UTampa's 28th National Championship since 1981.

Late evening. April 25, 2025. Toi Poi: What SAE means to me. A tradition for all new chapters. The Florida Chi Chapter comes together in a circle. One-by-one, each brother and alumni enters the circle and tells their personal story of what SAE has meant to them in their lives.

The result is a very moving personal story of reflection and grace. Topics discussed could range from a deep personal connection, alumni remembrance, and even the hilarity of an old man discussing air guitar contests from 40+ years ago.

The words of "The True Gentleman" have never rung so true
