Grant is open to midwifery students . Check eligibility and apply.

Well…it’s time ! The Watering the Seeds: Midwifery Care and Capacity Building grant is now open .

We have been working so hard to bring you this beautiful outpouring of love . We have planted some beautiful seeds with our previous grants and now in partnership with and her Baby Yams brand we will be funding Black and Indigenous midwives and students .

Proceeds from the sale of Baby Yams will go towards funding this grant . 100% of donations will go directly to grant funding. So purchase a beautiful quilt .

Today we honor and celebrate Freedom Day /Juneteenth ! NCM offices are closed for the holiday.

We couldn’t let the week end without shouting out all of the future midwives who are working so hard in their studies and clinical and placements to becoming the midwives we need . NCM is committed to doing our part to support the future of midwifery and maternal health care .

At NCM, we are making Black history every day ! And since it’s Valentine’s Day , We want to show all the love to our Black Leadership. From having our first woman of color and Black president ,Tanya Smith-Johnson..to our Executive team consisting of Academic Dean and Institutional Development Officer, Demetra Seriki to Angelique Steadman, our Administrative and Finance officer … NCM is Black woman led now !

And we couldn’t do it without supportive board members like Rasalin Neudeck.. our first Black board member .

We appreciate the leadership, vision and hard work that is taking place to make NCM the premiere midwifery school that ALL our students deserve ! We hope you show them all some love too. 💕

Welcome to the new and improved National College of Midwifery! We have a new look, new logo , new website , new board members and new staff! So much is NEW! And with that we will begin new social media engagement, so you can get to know who we are and what we are about. So with that we are going to reintroduce ourselves starting with properly welcoming our newest President .. Tanya Smith-Johnson .

Tanya came on board as our new President and CEO in January 2022. She is a dynamic leader and visionary who we are honored to have with us . Over the past year and half, she has been hard at work transforming NCM into the midwifery institution that will answer the call to make education more accessible and create midwives for the communities that need them.

So let us reintroduce our President … Tanya Smith-Johnson, MS, CPM.
