Rooted in Serviam—“I Will Serve”—the College of New Rochelle legacy lives on.

On April 30, 2026, Mercy University will honor Mary Virginia Orna, OSU with the CNR Legacy Award at the Mercy Trustees’ Scholarship Gala, recognizing her 40 years of teaching chemistry at CNR and her lifelong commitment to service and education.

Honor her legacy by supporting the CNR Serviam Endowed Scholarship Fund, which supports Mercy University students who excel academically and serve their communities.
