We are heartbroken by the immeasurable loss to our Ivy Tech Tell City family. Dean Gengelbach, beloved instructor, dedicated welding educator, mentor to hundreds of students, colleague, and friend, passed away unexpectedly this weekend.

His impact on our campus and our community will never be forgotten.
To honor Dean and allow our staff, faculty, and students to attend services we will have a modified schedule.
• Monday: Site open until 2:00 PM. Day classes will meet. Welding staff will gather with welding students at 5:30 PM for support before dismissal to attend visitation.
• Tuesday: Site closed during the day; no daytime classes. Night classes will meet as scheduled.
• Wednesday: Normal schedule resumes.

We hold Dean’s family and all who loved him in our thoughts during this difficult time, especially Dr Alexa Gengelbach and Bryce Gengelbach who are also dedicated instructors for Ivy Tech Tell City.

Ivy Tech Tell City will resume in-person classes and operations on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Campus sidewalks have been cleared and crews have worked to ready the parking lots, as best is possible. Everyone is urged to use caution and your best judgement navigating to campus.
STUDENTS please check IvyLearn to determine how your course will be delivered. HIGH SCHOOL DUAL ENROLLMENT CLASSES WILL NOT MEET IN PERSON. Students will have assignments online to complete. Open enrollment and industry classes will meet in person, but anyone who will not be able to be in-person due to road conditions in their area should reach out to their instructor.
EMPLOYEES please talk with your supervisor if you have a circumstances preventing you from driving to campus.
