Lambda Sigma Gamma-Alpha Alpha Chapter at ASU

On November 3, 2012 five dedicated women became sisters of Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. and Founding Mothers of the Alpha Alpha Chapter.

The purposes of this association are to instill the desire for self-improvement, scholastic excellence, and the cultivation of civic responsibility; also to promote unity and higher education amongst women. Katherine "pAAx" Zavala

g awareness and support to early Education. Our responsibility and commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children continually guides our efforts. We do this by giving back to our communities via scholarships, fundraisers, donations, contributions, partnerships, volunteerism and other various philanthropic programs at each of our respective chapters.*

Today, we honor the women who challenged the limits placed on them and fought for the freedoms we have today. Women’s Equality Day commemorates the 19th Amendment and the fight for women’s suffrage.

As women today, we continue to carry that progress forward every time we learn, lead, work, speak up, pursue our dreams, and choose our own paths. These are just a few of the ways the women of Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc., Alpha Alpha Chapter are breaking barriers in our own lives.

Here’s to the women who came before us, the women standing beside us, and the women who will come after us. 🌹

Today, June 19th, we celebrate Juneteenth, commemorating the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

This day honors the resilience, strength, and countless contributions of the African American community while recognizing the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice.

As a multicultural sisterhood, Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority, Inc. recognizes the significance of this day and stands in solidarity as we continue to promote unity, inclusion, and understanding.

May we honor the past, celebrate freedom, and work toward a more just future for all.

🌹Why did you pick your major?

I’d like to become a DO, but psychology was innately easy for me.

🌹Who Inspires you?

My desire to help people, especially those who want to do better but don’t know how. I’d like to help patients not only help themselves, but educate them and their families to promote better heath in future generations.

🌹 What are you planning on doing now that you graduated?

Study MCAT, volunteer, and apply to med school! Continue traveling of course, catch more shows.

🌹 What is some advice you would like to give a freshmen entering college?

Stay on top of your diet, sleep, and work out as much as possible!
