🎉 Congratulations to Professor Hilde Hoogenboom on winning the 2026 Wayne S. Vucinich Book Prize for "Noble Sentiments and the Rise of Russian Novels: A European Literary History". 📖

Awarded by the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), the prize honors the most important contribution to Russian, Eurasian and East European studies in the humanities or social sciences. Her book examines how Russians created a new literature against substantial odds and rewrites the history of nineteenth-century Russian novels. 👏
