Rose-Hulman EcoCAR 2 Official page of Rose-Hulman's EcoCAR 2 team. Fifteen universities throughout North America participate in this competition.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is competing in EcoCAR 2 which is a three-year student engineering competition. The teams are working to design & implement a more efficient powertrain into a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu, donated by General Motors.

During the third and final academic year of EcoCAR 2: Plugging In to the Future, teams have been refining their prototype advanced technology vehicles, and will come together in June to compete in more than a dozen dynamic and static events at this year’s competition.

From June 1-12, 2014, teams will gather for the EcoCAR 2 Year Three Competition at General Motors Milford Proving Ground in Milford, Michigan and at locations throughout Washington, D.C. to compete in more than a dozen technical, communications, and business events. Throughout the ten days, vehicles will undergo engineering tests similar to those conducted by the automotive industry to determine a prototype’s readiness for production, and ultimately prove the viability of their advanced technology vehicles.
