YOU (almuni and current students) are invited to attend the Annual ASCE Winter Banquet on Tuesday December 17th from 7:00PM - 11:00PM at Terre Haute Brewing Company! There will be dinner served, games, alcohol (for those over 21 at a cash bar), and a great presentation given by Molly Rice (CE Alumna) on the topic of Women in Engineering!

Dress is business casual. Cost to attend is $5 for students in ASCE or SWE, $10 for Alumni, Faculty and students not members of either organization. Admission price can either be paid in cash to Angela Tanner in O225 or via VENMO to -Rogers-62.

ASCE volunteered this morning with TREES Inc. in Terre Haute! Groups from ISU, St. Mary of the Woods and Rose-Hulman (total of 130 volunteers) worked together to plant 92 trees!

Today, we welcomed the Civil Engineering Class of 2023 at the activities fair! We showed our today with Concrete Canoe and Engineers Without Borders!

Through all of our events this week, our chapter will be able to make a generous donation of $1,642.15 to the Wabash Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity! This week was a BLAST for our ASCE Chapter! It was our first ever Spirit Week where we had one event every day!

We had a great showing this weekend at the ASCE Great Lakes Student Conference! We’re bringing home two awards: 1st Place in the Scavenger Hunt and 2nd Place in the Geotechnical Design. Some other events we participated in are Concrete Co****le, Materials Design, Wooden Bridge, Quiz Bowl, and Mystery Design.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped out behind the scenes. It was tons of fun!

Our chapter created a video presentation on our goals/recent activities to showcase at the Indiana Section meeting this April! I thought I might give you all a sneak peak!

Thanks to all the members of ASCE who came out to help with the ‘Girl Scouts: Discover STEM’ event on campus!

Together, we worked to help the Girl Scouts from the Terre Haute to Indianapolis area earn their ‘Think Like an Engineer’ badge!

We also put on an interactive water filtration activity where we built water filters using cotton balls/napkins/sand/coffee filters and we filtered Speed Lake water through them!

Today our chapter got a visit from a special guest, Bob Cagle (ASCE Society Director for Region 4)!

He talked to our student chapter about continued involvement in ASCE after college.

Our chapter had a great turnout at our first evening professional development!

Underclassman had a chance to have upperclassman review their resume’s, and they left with valuable tips and tricks to success! We also got to learn about Katlyn Edwards undergraduate research!

Hey everyone! The winter banquet will be held in the Louise Kahn Room on Wednesday, December 12th from 6-8. The banquet will count as one PDH and will cost ASCE members $15 and faculty $20 (dinner will be included). RSVP to Angela in O225 by December 7th.
