YOU (almuni and current students) are invited to attend the Annual ASCE Winter Banquet on Tuesday December 17th from 7:00PM - 11:00PM at Terre Haute Brewing Company! There will be dinner served, games, alcohol (for those over 21 at a cash bar), and a great presentation given by Molly Rice (CE Alumna) on the topic of Women in Engineering!

Dress is business casual. Cost to attend is $5 for students in ASCE or SWE, $10 for Alumni, Faculty and students not members of either organization. Admission price can either be paid in cash to Angela Tanner in O225 or via VENMO to -Rogers-62.

Through all of our events this week, our chapter will be able to make a generous donation of $1,642.15 to the Wabash Valley Chapter of Habitat for Humanity! This week was a BLAST for our ASCE Chapter! It was our first ever Spirit Week where we had one event every day!

We had a great showing this weekend at the ASCE Great Lakes Student Conference! We’re bringing home two awards: 1st Place in the Scavenger Hunt and 2nd Place in the Geotechnical Design. Some other events we participated in are Concrete Co****le, Materials Design, Wooden Bridge, Quiz Bowl, and Mystery Design.

Thanks to everyone who participated and helped out behind the scenes. It was tons of fun!

Thanks to all the members of ASCE who came out to help with the ‘Girl Scouts: Discover STEM’ event on campus!

Together, we worked to help the Girl Scouts from the Terre Haute to Indianapolis area earn their ‘Think Like an Engineer’ badge!

We also put on an interactive water filtration activity where we built water filters using cotton balls/napkins/sand/coffee filters and we filtered Speed Lake water through them!
