We love collaborating with Texas A&M University-Texarkana University Police (and Ace!) whenever we can!

A big thank you to Caty Burks, BSN, RN, NPD-BC, CHSE, Simulation Lab Coordinator for the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services, for helping our officers become certified in Basic Life Support earlier this year.

BLS training strengthens our ability to perform CPR, properly use an AED, and provide lifesaving care during medical emergencies. We appreciate Caty for helping us advance our skills and better serve our campus community.

Even ACE stopped by the Simulation Lab to learn some new skills!

Our very own Jami Yeager leading the way in our newest program! We're so excited and proud of you, Jami!

There's a new healthcare program at A&M-Texarkana, and no one is more excited to see it come to life than Jami Yeager, MSN, RN, ARRT(R)(CT)(NM), CIC, CPHQ.

With 25 years of experience as an X-ray technologist, Jami is helping launch the University's new Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology program this Fall. As we continue to expand our academic programs and opportunities for students, the new degree reflects our commitment to meeting the healthcare workforce needs of East Texas and the four-state region.

"Many people don't realize what radiologic technology really is. It's much more than just taking X-rays," Jami says. "Radiologic technology begins with diagnostic X-rays, and from there you can specialize in areas like CT or MRI. Those advanced imaging specialties all start with a strong foundation in radiologic technology."

Now, she's bringing that experience and passion to prepare the next generation of imaging professionals.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana is headed to NCAA Division II!

The university was formally accepted on July 10, moving from the NAIA after clearing a rigorous application process.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana Athletics has already earned an invitation to the Lone Star Conference, widely regarded as one of the strongest conferences in Division II.
