“What I’ve appreciated most are the people. The relationships I built with coworkers and mentors on campus made this feel like more than just a job, and I’ll carry those connections with me.” — Sam Huggins, A&M-Texarkana May 2026 graduate and former End User Support Specialist/Network Engineer

What began as his personal college experience became the foundation of a career for A&M-Texarkana alumnus Sam Huggins.
As a student, Sam served as a Lead Student Ambassador, representing the University at campus events and throughout the community. He also worked in Information Technology as an IT Student Worker, gaining the experience that eventually led to a full-time role as an End User Support Specialist and Network Engineer.

“A&M-Texarkana has been a huge part of my journey, starting as a student worker three years ago and working my way up to a full-time role. The mentorship I received from the senior technical engineers I worked alongside really shaped how I approach my work. They gave me hands-on experience I wouldn’t have gotten elsewhere.”

Now, he’s beginning an exciting new chapter as a Network Engineer at Texas A&M University, where he'll help manage the wireless infrastructure supporting the university's athletics facilities.

We're grateful for the impact Sam made at A&M-Texarkana and can't wait to see all he'll accomplish in this next chapter.
