🍎✨ Congratulations to Ms. Alicia Prater, Liberty-Eylau ISD’s Secondary District Teacher of the Year! ✨🚗

Texarkana College is proud to celebrate Ms. Prater, former TC Culinary Student, who now serves as a Dual Credit Culinary instructor and works closely with TC’s Culinary Arts program to help students earn college credit while still in high school. 💙

Ms. Prater was selected as the winner of the Robbins Toyota Teacher of the Year vehicle drawing between the Elementary and Secondary District Teachers of the Year and will receive the use of a vehicle for one full year, with insurance provided by TC Board Chair, Derrick McGary of State Farm Insurance.

Through her work in both secondary and college education, Ms. Prater continues to make a lasting impact on students and help prepare the next generation for success. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! 👏

Our Texarkana College music students recently had the incredible opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City alongside choirs from across the country. 🎶🗽

The Memorial Day performance featured the New York premiere of Stabat Mater, composed by Marc-André Bougie, conductor of Texarkana College’s Music Arts Program. Performing on one of the world’s most prestigious stages was an unforgettable experience and a proud moment for our Bulldogs.

👓✨ Dual Credit Success Spotlight ✨👓

👓✨ Dual Credit Alumni Spotlight ✨👓

Before becoming the first female doctor in Nash, Texas and opening Nash Eye Care, Dr. Jessica Trichel got her start at Texarkana College through the Dual Credit program. 💙

Dr. Trichel shared that she is incredibly thankful for the foundation TC gave her early in her educational journey. By earning college credits while still in high school, she was able to take important first steps toward the career she dreamed of building.

Today, she is serving patients across the community with compassionate, comprehensive eye care while also making history in Nash. Her journey is a powerful reminder that big dreams can start close to home. 🐾

We are proud to celebrate Dr. Trichel and the impact she continues to make in our region!

Texarkana College has once again been ranked #1 in Texas for student completion rates among community colleges!

📊 61.8% of TC students complete their programs within three years, which is nearly double the state average of 31.3%.

For more than a decade, TC has continued to lead the state in helping students reach the finish line. This achievement reflects the hard work of our students, the dedication of our faculty and staff, and a community that believes in changing lives through education. 💙🐾

🇺🇸 In observance of Memorial Day, the entire Texarkana College campus will be closed on Monday, May 25.
Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
We are grateful for the veterans, service members, and military families in the TC community and across Texarkana who continue to inspire us through their dedication and service.
