College of the Mainland proudly celebrated the grand opening of its new Public Safety Careers Building, a state-of-the-art facility that will help prepare the next generation of firefighters, paramedics, law enforcement professionals and public safety leaders.

Local public safety agencies, community leaders, elected officials, industry partners, students, faculty and staff joined us to celebrate this exciting milestone and see firsthand the innovative training spaces that will support hands-on learning for years to come.

This building represents more than a new facility. It is an investment in student success, workforce development and the safety of the communities our graduates will serve throughout Galveston County and beyond.

Join College of the Mainland for the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of its new Public Safety Careers Building on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The new 50,000-square-foot facility expands COM’s capacity to provide advanced education and hands-on training for students pursuing careers in law enforcement, fire protection and emergency medical services. The state-of-the-art building features specialized classrooms and training environments, including a 50-yard indoor firing range, outdoor training tower and pad, emergency response vehicle bays and dedicated student spaces.
