If you’re contemplating graduate studies, please attend our upcoming online information session on Wednesday, May 6, at 5:30 p.m. on Zoom. There is no fee for CUNY alumni to apply to the graduate program and the GRE is not required.

There is no fee for CUNY alumni to apply to the graduate program and the GRE is not required.

The Lehman College Office of Campus Honors and Scholar Engagement (CHASE) extends a warm invitation to the campus community for a special event "A Night of Black History – A Black History Month Celebration" on Thursday February 27th. It all starts at 5:00 pm in the East Dining Room in the Music Building. Guests will be on hand for the special unveiling of an expansive digital humanities project entitled “Hidden Histories of the Bronx”. That's not all: There will be live performances, Jamaican cuisine, and a Lehman student art gallery walk to boot.

To launch our commemoration of Black History Month, 2025, the Lehman English Department celebrates the life and work of three greats born this first week of February: Langston Hughes (February 1), dramatist Joseph Cotter (February 2nd), and author Victor LaValle (February 3rd). Listen to this pre-recorded WQXR program examining the influence of music on Hughes's work and the lyrics he wrote (https://www.wqxr.org/story/271251-i-too-sing-america-music-life-langston-hughes/).
