UMASS MEN"S BASKETBALL IS COMING TO FT WORTH!

Whether you raged in the Cage, or were a Mullins Maniac, it's time to relive the good old days of UMASS Basketball here in Dallas Ft Worth! The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame announced the teams for the first-ever Basketball Hall of Fame Classic to be held at Dickies Arena in Ft Worth. The one-day triple-header will feature men’s basketball teams Mississippi State vs. Colorado State, North Texas vs. UMass, and Stephen F. Austin vs. Liberty.

3:30 PM CST - UMass vs. North Texas

When you order tickets, be sure to select section 114. UMASS Athletics has seats in section 14. Section 114 is right behind them, and the view is very good.

Fellow Alumnae Buffy St Marie talks about the old days, and namechecks UMASS in this great Forbes (yes, that Forbes) article. My friend and past leader of the Austin Network, Laura Patlove, attended UMASS and lived in the same dorm as Buffy in the mid-sixties. She said Buffy would provide candlelit concerts in the dorm. In 1970, Buffy returned to Campus to perform at Homecoming. She was greeted with a thunderous standing ovation, and said "This never happened to me when I worked in The Hatch", then threw back her arms and said, "It's great to be back home!"
