Brett Shryock ’22, ’24 is helping Harris County prepare for and respond to some of the region’s most challenging moments.

As Manager of Logistics for the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, he has supported response efforts during Hurricane Harvey, the 2021 Arctic Blast, the ITC Tank Fire, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brett’s journey is a reminder that success does not always follow a straight path, and sometimes the scenic route leads exactly where you are meant to be.
