Congratulations, Toni!

Just one example of how our graduates are not only thriving in their respected field, but also working to make a positive impact in our coastal community!

Pleaese join Lafourche Parish 4-H in welcoming our newest 4-H Agent, Toni Cortez!

Toni Cortez is a Southeast Louisiana native and proud former Lafourche Parish 4-H member. She earned a bachelor’s degree in plant and soil systems from Louisiana State University and a master’s degree in marine and environmental biology from Nicholls State University.

Toni brings experience in STEM education, outreach, and leadership through her work as a clinical researcher with ICON plc, a teaching assistantship at Nicholls State University, and an intern with the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program. Because 4-H played such an important role in her childhood, she is excited to return to the program in a professional capacity and give back to the community that helped shape her.

In her free time, Toni enjoys reading, crafting, playing video games, and spending time with her pets, friends, and family. She looks forward to serving the youth and families of Lafourche Parish through the 4-H program.
