Leadership- Sigma Alpha Epsilon has produced some of the most prominent leaders at Nicholls, in our community, and across the Nation. Many of our members travel the country attending leadership schools and meeting others who have accomplished great things because of the values they've gained from being a part of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. SAE has the majority of those selected for leadership distinction
s on campus such as Order of Omega and "Who's Who." Athletics- SAE at Nicholls makes a great showing at every intramural event we participate in. In the past year, we placed first in volleyball, flag football, softball, and basketball. We also compete every summer in the SAE World Series of Softball in New Orleans. Competition aside, sporting events help build our brotherhood. Whether the whole chapter is in the stands supporting our team, or we're playing ultimate frisbee on a random day, athletics bring us together year round. Scholarship- We take pride in the fact that we have the HIGHEST cumulative GPA out of all the fraternities and sororities on campus. To ensure that we keep this honor, we have a Scholarship Chair that makes sure everyone has the help they need to succeed. Study groups are set up for different majors, and chances are that the older members in your major have taken your same teachers and will help a great deal. To be in SAE members must maintain at least a 2.4 GPA. Philanthropy- Every year SAE raises over $10,000 for Upside Downs of Thibodaux in our event called Chili Bowl. We also host our annual 5k "Donut Dash" benefitting the Schriever Lions Club. Staying involved in the community and raising money for charity isn't seen as a chore in SAE. It is simply another chance to build brotherhood while giving to those who are less fortunate. Social- SAE hosts many events each year including live bands, themed socials, and formals. With a position dedicated just to Risk Management, every event held is well thought out to ensure safety while having as much fun possible.
