Nicholls Give-N-Day is the university’s 24-hour giving campaign that inspires all supporters of Nicholls from current students, to alums, to the local community and region to come together, show their Colonel Pride, and provide essential funding to all areas across the university. This event, which is planned to become an annual event, will provide an opportunity for giving at Nicholls unlike any other in an effort to create a sensation of energy around philanthropy.
For this year, the goal is 100 participating organizations, $100,000 raised from at least 1,000 donors in 24 hours.
As the saying goes, “the more the merrier” would be the simple answer but there is a greater reason why participation in the Nicholls Give-N-Day is important. The combined generosity of many will only strengthen the support for all areas, including colleges, departments, student organizations and programs across the entire university to better reinforce the university’s educational mission. What might be the most important reason is that all gifts to Nicholls, no matter the size, are extremely important and all associated with Nicholls are very grateful for all supporters. Finally, the more supporters there are of Nicholls, the meaning of Strength in Numbers becomes a calling card for the university on a state and regional level.
Your gift is not simply just a gift to a campus organization, but is a gift that makes a difference for the organization, the students and ultimately the university.
