Edward Egros's baseball analytics presentation at the University Village Thousand Oaks was a home-run! ⚾

The introductory session focused on how starting pitchers adapt their strategies through pitch mixing and sequencing as hitters see them multiple times in a game, and how that data helps with understanding such adjustments. The audience was comprised of lively, longtime baseball fans with several great questions!

Auspicious Austrians visited our campus from May 3rd to May 15th. They were the 2025 cohort of the EMBA in Austria program embarking on a 2-week California experience that concluded at Commencement. While in California, they took classes, visited companies, and enjoyed our beautiful campus and community. Several Austrian teams even took home prizes from the New Venture Fair! We're so proud!

Congrats to Kristen Bell, who was named one of the Top 50 Women in Business by the Pacific Coast Business Times.

Kristen is an adjunct professor in Cal Lutheran's MBA and EMBA programs, as well as the cornerstone in the great work that Hub101 is doing - from the New Venture Fair to the Dorfman Incubator Grants. She is more than deserving of the recognition.

Great job Kristin!

Our Sport Management Program proudly hosted its annual "Fields of Opportunity" event - a focused career fair for students interested in the sports industry.

With over 30 organizations from major sports franchises to Division 1 colleges in attendance, students created new connections and explored potential job, internship, and professional development opportunities. Many of these opportunities are exclusive to our Sports Management program's established partnerships.

Kudos to program director Mark Orlando and his dedicated students who made this exhilarating event possible.

The Inaugural NFL Mock Draft kicked off on Saturday, April 11!

Student teams from Cal Lutheran, CSU Long Beach, East Texas A&M University, Indiana University Indianapolis, Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, Lewis-Clark State College, Middle Georgia State University, the University of San Francisco, and Viterbo University competed in strategic roster management.

Rosters were built through scouting, trades, and careful player selection considering the statistical portfolio, behavior, health, and branding appeal of players.

A big thank you to our participants, staff, event organizer Mark Orlando, and the esteemed judges Artis Twyman, Dylan Orquiola, Jacob Hart, Kylee Martinez, Trevor Harvey, Sophia Mai Nugwynne, and Tyler Foster for making it a success!

🎉Congratulations to all our graduates. You have worked so hard, and we are so proud of you! 💜💛

Our Executive MBA students enjoyed a transformative travel course to Berlin. Under the guidance of Mike Panesis, the group visited historical sites (such as the famous U.S. Checkpoint Charlie that once divided East and West Berlin), and companies ranging from tech startups to established brands like BMW, enriching our understanding of global business dynamics.

Matthew Fienup (Executive Director) and Dan Hamilton (Director of Economics) received the Crystal Ball Award from the Fannie Mae Home Price Expectations Survey for their two-year forecast of U.S. home prices.

This is their 5th award over the last 7 years. During this period, they have frequently surpassed global institutional competitors such as the International Monetary Fund, Moody's, and business schools such as the Wharton School, among many others.

We're our proud, honored, and humbled to have Matthew and Dan at the School of Management.

With over 1,000 registered parents and students, this year's Admitted Students Day had remarkable enthusiasm.

For the School of Management it was all hands on deck, and we can't thank our faculty members, staff colleagues, student workers, and alumni who gave up their Saturday to mingle with parents enough!

From the Academic Fair in Kingsmen Park to the full classrooms, this year's Admitted Students Day was a resounding success!
