Members of Heidelberg University OCMEA had a blast at the Ohio Music Educator Association Conference this weekend in Cleveland! It was great to see alumni, old friends, and meet some new friends! The trip was very educational and we cannot wait for next year's conference in Columbus!!

Some of our members are participating in The Ohio Private College Instrumental Conductors Association (OPCICA) this weekend. Rylan Clarkson (trumpet) and Chris Sgalla (tenor saxophone) are representing in the jazz band while Amy Corfman (euphonium), Bertha Saucedo (trumpet), Cole Miller (horn), Alesha Pennock (bass clarinet), and Kat Sayre (percussion) are in the concert band. Dr. Ben Herrick will be conducting "Down a Country Lane" by Aaron Copland for the concert band and joining the jazz band on trombone.

Congratulations to our amazing musicians and how they represent Heidelberg!

Need something to do this weekend? Lucky for you, there is plenty happening!

This Saturday from 4PM-8PM is our Chipotle Fundraiser! Remember to mention our group's name in person or use the code on the app!

After getting a yummy dinner, head on over to the First Lutheran Church on Melmore Street for some Senior Recitals! Amy Corfman's starts at 7:00 PM followed by Bertha Saucedo and Jacob Reuter at 7:45 PM (Credits to Bertha for making the poster!)

Finish out the weekend by going to the Ritz for the School of Music and Theater's Heidelberg Holiday Spectacular! Show starts at 3 PM. Tickets can be bought at the Ritz Box Office.
