There are few moments in Masonry as meaningful as witnessing the beginning of a Brother’s journey—and today, that excitement is especially strong as York Rite Masons from all over Georgia gather in Macon for the Grand Master’s York Rite Class.

This is more than a ceremonial occasion; it is a powerful step forward in light, knowledge, and commitment. For our new candidates, this journey represents dedication to personal growth, deeper understanding, and the timeless principles that unite us as Masons.

The York Rite offers a path rich with history, symbolism, and profound lessons. To see new Brothers take this step reminds us all of our own beginnings and renews our appreciation for the Craft and its enduring values.

Let us welcome these candidates with encouragement and brotherly support as they embark on this remarkable chapter. May their journey be filled with discovery, purpose, and the strengthening of the bonds that make our fraternity so extraordinary.

Excited, honored, and proud to witness the future of Masonry in motion.

🌅⚔️ 96th Annual Easter Sunrise Service ⚔️🌅

As the first light of Easter morning broke across the horizon, Sir Knights and companions gathered in reverence at the George Washington Masonic National Memorial for the 96th Annual Grand Encampment Easter Sunrise Service.

In that sacred and historic setting, we were reminded of the true meaning of Easter—renewal, hope, and the triumph of light over darkness.

Surrounded by brothers and friends, united in purpose and devotion, the service was a powerful testament to our shared values and traditions. The spirit of fellowship, reverence, and Christian faith filled the theatre, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

This cherished tradition continues to inspire, reminding us that each new dawn brings with it renewed purpose and the call to live out our faith in both word and deed.

🇺🇸🌿 A Solemn Tribute – Tomb of the Unknown Soldier 🌿🇺🇸

Today, Sir Knights and companions were honored to participate in a deeply moving wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.

In reverent silence, we stood witness to the enduring sacrifice of those who gave all—known only to God, yet never forgotten by a grateful nation. The precision of the guard, the stillness of the moment, and the weight of history combined to create an experience that humbled each of us.

Most Worshipful Grand Master William Shepard, REGC Daniel Rickets, MIGM John Miller and MEGHP Joseph Oelgoetz, III, laid the a wreath to serve as a symbol of our deepest respect, our unwavering gratitude, and our solemn promise to remember.

May we ever honor their sacrifice by living lives of purpose, service, and devotion to the principles for which they stood.

🇺🇸✨ Day Two Highlights – 2026 Easter Sunrise Trip ✨🇺🇸

The journey continued today with a powerful blend of history, reflection, and fellowship.

Our day began at the historic Eisenhower National Historic Site, where we explored the legacy of leadership and service that shaped a nation. From there, we moved to the hallowed grounds of Gettysburg Battlefield, walking where history was written and honoring the sacrifices made for freedom.

A meaningful stop at the Friend to Friend Masonic Memorial reminded us of the timeless bond of brotherhood—even in times of conflict, compassion and unity prevail.

We concluded the evening in unforgettable fashion at Ford’s Theatre, enjoying a stirring performance of “1776”. The story of our nation’s founding brought the day full circle—linking the courage of the past with the inspiration we carry forward.
Today was a reminder that history is not just remembered—it is experienced, honored, and lived through our shared journey.

⚔️ With gratitude for the past and purpose for the future, we press onward together.

First Night Reflections – 2026 Easter Sunrise Trip

Under the quiet glow of the evening sky, the 2026 Right Eminent Grand Commanders Easter Sunrise Trip began in truly unforgettable fashion.

Sir Knights and companions were privileged to take part in a private moonlight monument tour, where the sacred stillness of the night brought new meaning to the historic landmarks that stand as pillars of our nation and our shared values.

As we walked among these illuminated monuments, there was a deep sense of reflection—on faith, sacrifice, brotherhood, and the enduring light that guides us all. The soft glow of the moon and the solemn beauty of these sites created a moment that words can scarcely capture.

This evening set the tone for what promises to be a powerful and inspiring journey together.
