The 2026 Engage Summit in Charlotte was an incredible experience. With AI becoming more and more prevalent across Higher Education, the summit’s theme of the “Agentic Campus” was extremely important, and it was great to hear from colleagues on how institutions are maximizing the opportunities and solving the challenges that AI brings. Thank you to Element 451 for featuring me in the closing session, where we discussed how to take what we learned this week and put it into action. I am excited to get back to Tifton and start that process at ABAC.

I am incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us for Vision for ABAC Bainbridge: Moving Forward Together. The evening was a wonderful celebration of the progress we have made at ABAC’s Bainbridge site and, more importantly, the bright future that lies ahead for our students and the communities we serve.

It was inspiring to hear from supporters, faculty, staff, students, and community leaders who share a commitment to expanding opportunities through higher education. Their stories reinforced the impact ABAC Bainbridge is having today and the possibilities that is ahead.

A special thank you to Chancellor Sonny Perdue, Jody Redding representing Governor Brian Kemp’s Office, and Regent Tom Bradbury for their attendance and continued support. We are also deeply appreciative of our local leaders, donors, alumni, and community partners whose belief in our mission helps make this progress possible.

Together, we are building momentum, creating opportunities, and moving ABAC Bainbridge forward. Thank you for being part of this journey.

I enjoyed meeting with ABAC Stafford School of Business Dean Yasemine Atinc, Wesley Langdale, and CBCBank employees Morris Tankersley and Cindy Watson. We had a great discussion about future partnerships between Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and CBC.

Another successful but bittersweet graduation. I am so proud of all of our graduates and hate to see them leave, but I also can't wait to see all that they accomplish. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!

Dr. Jason Goodner and I were proud to celebrate Jenna Williams as she was recognized as the 2026 J.G. Woodroof Scholar during the Board of Regents’ Academic Recognition Day. Jenna was joined for the special occasion by her parents, Gina and Marvin Williams.

We are all so proud of you Jenna, and we can't wait to see what you accomplish next!

It was an honor to present the Rebecca Miolen Memorial Scholarship this week at the Rodeo Club's Buckle Series Barrel Race. Thank you to the ABAC Rodeo Club, ABAC Alumni & Friends, and the ABAC School of Agriculture and Natural Resources for making this happen.

The Book Club is one of my favorite ways to connect with the ABAC Honors Program students. We just finished "Theo of Golden" by Allen Levi of Columbus, Georgia. It was a ton of fun to explore this story with the club members! I continue to be amazed at the depth of discussion we have at these gatherings. This is the third book we have reviewed as a group.

I was honored to attend the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI) Luncheon Celebration on April 28 at Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, celebrating the scholars who successfully completed the program.

Throughout the 2025-2026 ELI program, I had the privilege of serving as a Job Shadow Leader to Dr. Julius Fleschner, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and Accreditation at Georgia Highlands College. His thoughtful leadership, curiosity, and commitment to continuous improvement made this a meaningful and rewarding experience.

I am also incredibly proud of ABAC’s 2025–2026 ELI Scholar, Jessica Miller, Bursar and Veteran Affairs Certifying Official. Jessica represents ABAC with excellence and exemplifies the kind of leadership and service the ELI program aims to cultivate.

Congratulations to both Dr. Fleschner and Jessica Miller on their accomplishments and continued leadership for Georgia Highlands College and Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

It was an honor to attend the Investiture of Dr. Johnny Evans, Jr at College of Coastal Georgia yesterday. I can't wait to see Dr. Evans' impact on CCG as their President!
