We loved welcoming juniors and seniors from Worth County High School to the UGA Tifton Campus for a day of exploring opportunities in agriculture. From entomology to precision agriculture, students had the chance to discover potential career paths and get a glimpse of what their future could hold.

March is National Peanut Month, and peanuts are always being researched at UGA Tifton Campus. Researchers like Nino Brown, assistant professor of peanut breeding in the UGA Crop & Soil Sciences department, are working to develop improved peanut varieties with stronger disease, resistance, higher yields, and better performance for growers. Through innovative tools like drone imaging, Brown and his team are helping advanced peanut reading to support Georgia farmers in the future of the peanut industry.🥜🐾🌾

These are Georgia’s best and brightest, and we hope to see them back on campus when they reach the age to choose a college!
