Hi Residents. This is just a reminder of an available service for bulk item pickup. Yesterday a resident told me that he had to replace his washer and I asked him if he had contacted TriCounty to schedule a pickup for the old one and he told me he didn't know we had that service in the Borough. So, I thought I'd share a post to remind everyone. Bulk pickup and household hazardous waste services are provided by Tri-County (disposal of paints, stains, oil, electronics, etc). Bulk items (washer, dryer, microwave, tv's, computers, monitors, etc.) will be picked up at no additional charge, but you'll need to call Tri-County to schedule the pickup. Mattresses must be wrapped in plastic in order to be picked up. 724-748-4705

TIONESTA BOROUGH PUBLIC WORKS POSITION: Tionesta Borough is seeking applications for a full time Public Works position. Special consideration will be given to applicant with a DEP certified water or wastewater operator license. Requirements include good interpersonal/people skills, education and/or experience that would aid in water and sewer plant maintenance, basic construction and mechanical skills, general road and storm water maintenance. Must possess and maintain a valid PA Motor Vehicle License and must be insurable. Health insurance benefits package and pension plan offered. Successful applicant will be required to pass a physical and drug screening. Our Public Works Director, Curt Price passed away on May 23, 2026. He was a great guy and valuable worker for the residents of the Borough. Whether he was digging a ditch or meeting with contractors, he faced everything he needed to do with zest. I think it hit the employees today when we all came to work, but Curt wasn't here. He is already missed!! You were loved, Curt!!
