Meet Justin Fleming, who serves as our Outreach Coordinator! Justin is a junior and a biblical Studies major. Justin is pro-life because he believes that as creations made in the image of God, we should do everything in our ability to protect such life. Justin is a part of this club because Eagles for Life is extremely special in that our teachings are out of the Bible. Just is looking forward to our weekly meetings this year! By moving up our meeting times, we hope to develop a larger pro-life community on campus, fostering relationships, service opportunities, and the pro-life topic on campus.

Fun fact: Justin’s favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 30:7-9, which says, “Two things I ask of you; deny them not to me before I die: Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?’ or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God.”

Meet Mckyra McEwen, who serves as our Administrative Outreach Coordinator! Mckyra is a junior and is double majoring in Global Engagement and Bible and Theology. Mckyra is pro life because she believes that every child, planned or unplanned, is a blessing from the Lord. God wants us to protect the life of everyone, especially the children He loves so much. Mckyra felt led to be a part of this club because sometimes it is not enough to have a strong opinion on a subject; you need to do something about it! Mckyra is looking forward to the outreach events we will be doing each month.

Fun fact: Mckyra’s favorite Bible verse is Psalm 73:25-26, which says, “Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

Meet Carlie Cochran, who serves as our Media and Design Coordinator! Carlie is a senior and a Nursing major. Carlie is pro-life because she believes it is our duty as Christians to “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute,” (Proverbs 31:8). She felt led to join this club so that God could use her as a voice for the voiceless through this organization. Carlie is looking forward to the new events we have planned for the year!

Fun fact: Carlie’s favorite Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says, “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”

Meet Joanna Wunrow, who serves as our Vice President! Joanna is a junior and is a Counseling and Psychology major. Joanna is pro-life because she believes that every human being, even the unborn baby, is made in the image of God and is so infinitely valuable. She is a part of this club because it gives her an opportunity to take action about her pro-life beliefs and to serve others. Joanna is looking forward to build a sense of community with more regular meetings this year!

Fun fact: Joanna’s favorite Bible verse is James 1:5, which says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

Meet Aeryn Anderson, who serves as our President! Aeryn is a junior and is double majoring in Counseling and Psychology and Outdoor Leadership and Education. Aeryn is pro-life because she was saved when her birth mother chose life, and she believes it’s our responsibility as Christians to protect all life, especially those that are more vulnerable. Aeryn is also the founder of this club; she was a part of a pro-life club in high school, and really wanted to start something similar at TFC. She believes that the way minds will be changed is through education, not fights, and this is exactly what Eagles for Life does. Aeryn is looking forward to getting to know everyone who will be involved in the club this year!

Fun fact: Aeryn’s favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 5:15-16, which says, “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.”

Throwback to when Eagles for Life hosted a pro-life apologetics night last semester! Because our leadership board consists of all different majors, we were able to cover topics like pro-life in healthcare, pro-life in scripture, pro-life in education, pro-life across cultures, pro-life in counseling, and pro-life in everyday life. It was a great event!
