Over the weekend several of our members participated in Drug Take Back Day and offered health screenings to the community. We had a great time getting to work with the UTPD to make a difference in the community!

Drug Take Back Day is October 29th from 10am to 2pm! We will be at the University of Toledo Medical Center in the Mulford Library Circle providing free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings as well as collecting unused or expired medications so they can be disposed of properly!

APhA participated in the Toledo Museum of Art Block Party yesterday! We offered blood glucose and blood pressure screenings, provided Narcan education, and handed out free medication disposal kits!

Hi everyone! Every year each chapter of APhA submits a pharmacy policy change that they would like to see implemented. The policy changes are presented at MRM and voted upon. The chosen policy will then go through the process to hopefully become a law. This is a great opportunity to express your opinion on any policies or laws in pharmacy that you believe inhibit patient care or that you disagree with and would like to see changed. Please take the time to fill out the form below. We will be collecting all of these ideas, picking the top 3, and then voting on our favorite at the Policy Ice Cream Sundae Event on 9/26 at 12:00pm.

Tomorrow we will be having our eboard elections for 2022-23 school year virtually at noon. We would love to have you there to vote! Afterwards we will have the Cleveland Clinic Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residents talking about their career path. I would be very happy if you guys could all join and make them feel welcome. This is not only a great opportunity to learn about this career path but also a chance to learn about what doing residency at a large academic medical center (Cleveland Clinic, Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins, etc.) looks like.
