Sigma Alpha Epsilon ~ University of Toledo

Sigma Alpha Epsilon ~ University of Toledo Robert R. Aurner installed the local chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon on March 22, 1953. The chapter used to have a house at 1314 Fairlawn prior to Fall 1992.

This chapter was the 158th in the realm and gained the name of Ohio Nu in Province Pi. The chapter was originally called Alpha Phi Omega and is de

dicated to Gustavus Adolphus “Dolph” Ginter. Ginter had come to be known as “The Grand Old Man of SAE.” The chapter house is currently dedicated to alumni John Arkerbauer for his everlasting determinations to keep Sigma Alpha Epsilon on campus. The chapter then moved to Unit G-2 of the Greek Village. The chapter then moved to its current location, Unit E-2, in the Fall of 1996.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of SAE Ohio Nu. Since our founding, this brotherhood has been a pillar of the University of Toledo community, fostering lifelong friendships and leaders. However, with the new 4.1 GPA requirement, we have to face the reality that our time here has come to an end. We are so grateful for the memories, but the bar has simply been set higher than we can reach.
